The UK Film Council, lottery backed funding source for the British Film Industry is to be axed.

See two reports on the news that the UK Film Council is to be scrapped, only a short time after installing Tim Bevan as its head, can be reviewed on these two links to the BBC and The Knowledge. Could the new management have made a difference and where they given enough time to start the job?
