....all BAFTA events are open to non-members.
A certain allocation may be reserved for members at specific events, however if you keep an eye out for what is going on you can experience some very interesting stuff. With that in mind we would like to point out some that have been brought to our attention which have been arranged by the BAFTA Television Committee in conjunction with BAFTA’s own Learning and Events team, to be held at their HQ, 195, Piccadilly, London. W1J 9LN, in the coming weeks;

On Wednesday 11 May there is a preview The Hour a major new BBC drama series written by Abi Morgan, who along with director Coky Giedroyc, executive producer Jane Featherstone and actors Romola Garai and Dominic West who will all take part in a Q & A. 

Monday 16 May there is a very timely and important debate on the current events in the Arab World called The Arab Spring: A Broadcasting Revolution; hosted by Jon Snow with a panel of reporters, producers and editors including Bill Neely from ITN, Sarah Whitehead from Sky and Libyan Blogger and Author Ghazi Gheblawi.

Monday 6 June BAFTA hosts a Masterclass with comedy genius Miranda Hart, chaired by Grace Dent. Booking for this opened today, Wednesday May 4 at 9.30am, so get booking.

And for those of you who aren't in London, or just want to stay at home, don't forget BBC One will be broadcasting the Philips British Academy Television Awards, held at Grosvenor House on Sunday 22 May.
