Congratulations to Francesca Silveri for 'Of the Essence' winner of our May competition. Please follow the link to prizes to see the prizes for this coming monthly heat.
We had thought only one entry was received during June, 'On Ivythorne' by Sandy Strallen so wwe were moving iit acroos into the July competition when 'Squirrel' popped up on our system from Nic Wassell, so we do have a June competition and voting is open from now until the end of July.
The theme for July's competition is open once again and remains free to enter, so upload those films.
We leave the voting open to the end of the month following each competition so that even if you only enter right at the end of any particular month, there is still plenty of time for members to vote and review the films submitted. Obviously if you enter at the start of the month there is more time for people to see your stuff, so don't hang about.
Up to twelve monthly winners will be adjudicated on by a panel of industry professionals who have agreed to act as our judges (See Judges on the Home Page). The winner and two runners up will each be awarded annual prizes designed to promote their film making efforts
With your participation MovieMogul.co.uk can become a useful promotional tool for emerging talent, as well as a lot of fun. Membership will enable film makers of all levels and disciplines to interact, collaborate and create new material together. We also see a point where good natured rivalries between individuals, colleges and schools can develop and even settle those creative scores in a kind of short film face-off!
The £6 entry fee for each film entered into The Competition has been waived for the month of July. You need to be registered to vote on or review individual competition entries. Voting is by clicking on the appropriate star rating for the film you are viewing. As you run your cursor over the stars, found at the bottom left corner of your chosen film, they light up and, when you have the right number highlighted, one click and the vote is registered, (1 = Low, 5 = High). Rememeber you will be blocked after entering one vote on any particular film, so do make sure the first click is the one you mean.
