Territorial Film Developments Ltd (TFD) has been created to raise funding for investment in a slate of low budget thriller/horror and comedy films.

Individual qualifying private investors can benefit from tax advantages made available to them by TFD's EIS status.

UK based productions will also benefit from the Government's new tax rebate scheme which is structured to provide up to a 20% refund of each production budget.

As the sales success of our first film, 'Black Water', demonstrates 'Low Budget' need not mean low return. In recent years more films, despite having been made for very little, have achieved great popularity and commercial success. Often the return on a low budget production is proportionally greater than that from higher profile, more costly productions.

'Black Water' has now sold to all main world territories including the USA and continues to be released in cinemas and all distribution media around the world, most recently opening theatrically in Japan.

The Directors of TFD intend to continue working with some of the world's most experienced film makers, combining their skills with those of younger, emerging talent. When using the TFD profit participation scheme the company expects to attract experienced crew and experienced actors to their projects. Under the scheme TFD will make every one of the cast & crew a stakeholder in the success of each film made as well as the producers and financiers.

While film production remains a high risk business without guarantees, potential returns are becoming more identifiable. TFD intends to make best use of the skills and contacts at its disposal to predict, as accurately as possible, the revenue potential and commercial viability of each project. This evaluation conducted in association with committed sales and distribution companies will be the main criterion by which production decisions will be governed.
